Jet Propulsion

That's his name

Jet Propulsion

He'll rocket to fame

When he arrived

He created a buzz

'Cause there was no house

And then there was, he said

People of Earth!

You ain't seen nothin' yet!

I'm from Bortron Seven

And my name is Jet!

Jet Propulsion

That's his name

He looks like us

But he isn't the same

I'm a space tripper and a galaxy crosser

My parents brought me here in a flying saucer

And just to prove it was a fact

He flew them out to space and back!

(With) Jet Propulsion!

JET - PRO - PUL - SION!

He showed up, and now it's a blast

Looks like the future really got here fast

Nice to meet ya, human race!

Lone Star

"Lone Star"

Lone Star!

I love starin' at infinity

The farthest of the dimmest stars

Still ain’t far enough for me

Lone Star!

I love the music of the midnight sky

In the quiet I hear the stars

Callin’ to me from on high

Sayin’ Lone Star! Lone Star!

I’m huntin' for distant galaxies

I can only find at night

With my telly scope way up a mountain

Far from the pesky city lights!

Lone Star!

I love starin' at infinity

The farthest of the dimmest stars

Still ain't far enough for me

Lone Star!

I love the music of the midnight sky

In the quiet I hear the stars

Callin' to me from on high

Sayin' Lone Star!  Lone Star!

Countdown

"Countdown"

5-4-3-2-1

Doors are shut

Engines on

Everyone in their place

Let’s go into outer space!

Total Eclipse of the Sun

"Total Eclipse of the Sun"

Well, the moon goes around the Earth

While the Earth goes around the sun, y'know

But once in a while, just by chance

Sun, Moon, and Earth do their cosmic dance

And they all line up in a row!

Then, the moon shadow shades the Earth!

And the space show has begun!

The land gets quiet, the light gets dim

Birds won’t tweet when the sun gets slim

It’s a total eclipse of the sun!

It’s gonna be amazingly fun!

When the light goes away at the height of the day

It’s a total eclipse of the sun!

For a moment, the stars come out

It’s dark and quiet, just like night

Dogs roll over and rest their head

Birds turn in like it’s time for bed

Hey, can I borrow your flashlight?

It’s a total eclipse of the sun!

It’s gonna be amazingly fun!

When the moon barges in, and the world goes dim

And there’s a diamond ring, where the Sun has just been

It’s supposed to be day, but the light goes away

It’s a total eclipse....... of the sun!

How Come the Moon Has Craters

"How Come the Moon Has Craters"

How come the moon has craters?

That’s what we wanna know!

It’s white like mashed potaters

but its face is full of holes!

It's all pocked up from getting hit by a zillion giant rocks!

But how do you know?

What makes you think

That's how it gets its knocks?

Well, when I have a question regarding space

I can always get the answer by asking Face!

Face 9000, ready to assist you!

Hello, Jet!

You know I really missed you!

Face, I’ve got a question

Can you talk me through?

Yes, I love your questions, Jet!

I really, really do

How come the moon has craters?

Does it really get hit by rocks?

Yes, that's why the Moon is crater-y

all beaten up and pocked

And there’s a name for a rock that comes out of the void

Those rocks from space are called asteroids

Asteroid?  Asteroid?

A rock from space is an asteroid?

Yes, an asteroid is what it's called

And it's not good to stand where an asteroid falls

Asteroid!  Thank you, Face!

You gave us the answer 'bout the rocks from space!

We're over the moon!  We're overjoyed!

'Cause now we know all about the asteroids!

So Many Moons

"So Many Moons!"

A-one-a, a-two-a

Here’s what we’re gonna do-a!

Let’s count the moons of Jupiter!

Who knew there were so many?

We gotta do it carefully

Just so we don’t miss any!

They're teeny and enormous

I barely can absorb it!

They're held by Jupiter's gravity

That's how they stay in orbit!

Moons!  Moons!  So many moons!

Count 'em from the mornin' til the afternoon!

Metis is the closest

Adrastea right behind it

Amalthea is the red one

So it’s not too hard to find it!

Then Thebe, and four big moons

Found by Galileo

Europa is an ice ball,

And Io has volcanoes!

Ganymede’s the biggest, as big as Mercury is!

Callisto’s second biggest, let’s go out and see where she is!

Then we orbit farther out, to where the outer moons are!

They’re all the kids of Jupiter, but their names get pretty bizarre!

Moons!  Moons! So many moons!

Count 'em from December til the month of June!

Themisto,

Elara,

Himalia,

Leda,

Carpo,

Euporie,

Carme,

Lysithea!

Thelxinoe,

Euanthe,

Helike,

Praxidike,

Mneme,

Orthosie,

Then Iocaste!

Harpalyke,

Hermippe,

Thyone,

Ananke,

And Herse,

Aitne,

Taygete,

Chaldene!

Kale,

Erinome,

Aoede,

Kalyke,

Kallichore,

Callirrhoe,

Eurydome,

Pasithee,

Kore,

Cyliene,

Eukelade,

Pasiphae,

Hegemone,

Arche,

And don’t forget Isonoe!

That’s more than half the moons that Jupiter can boast-a

Among the planets in the solar system that’s the most-a!

Ninety-Seven is a lot for keeping track of,

Moons are somethin' Jupiter has got no lack of!

Moons! Moons!  So many moons!

Ninety-Seven? Ninety-Seven!

Moons!  Moons! So many moons!

Count 'em from December till the month of June!

Fly Our Little Saucer to the Moon

"Fly Our Little Saucer to the Moon"

I could fix a little dinner, my dear

But this night is such a winner, my dear

See? The stars are all a-twinkling

Are you thinkling what I'm thinkling?

Let's fly our little saucer to the moon!

You could pass for Mona Leet-sa tonight

We can always order pizza tonight

Gosh, you're just so darn good-lookin'

Think I'll do my plans for cookin'

Let's fly our little saucer to the moon!

Let's fly our little saucer to the moon!

It's a perfect Earthie even-ing in June

The sink is full of dirty dishes, you know

But you're the answer to my wishes, and so

In a minute, maybe soon-a

We could be orbiting over Luna

Let's fly our little saucer to the moon!

Fly our little saucer to the moon!

Three Part Bortronian Meal

"Three Part Bortronian Meal"

What to eat? Oh, what to eat?

Galaxy crackers, or seven-ring meat?

When I get hungry, you know how I feel

Like a classic, three-part Bortronian meal!

What to eat?  Oh, what to eat?

A tasty treat that can't be beat!

On the run, or behind the wheel

It's the classic, three-part Bortronian meal!

A hoagie!  Figginuz! Exploding shake!

What a fantastic deal! Yeah!

Solar System Song

"Solar System Song"

If you count the planets orbiting the sun

There's something cool 'bout every single one!

Now everybody gather 'round and listen

While I sing a song about our solar system!

Planet one is Mercury

It's tiny and it's speedy!

Planet two is Venus

It's bright and super-heaty!

Planet three is Earth

The lovely ocean-covered one!

Planet four is Mars

It's cold because the air is mostly gone!

Then you cross a belt of broken chunks of asteroids

Big and little comets, rocks, and baby planetoids!

The next four planets spinning out here really, really fast

Are giants, and they're mostly made of gas!

Planet five is Jupiter

The biggest of the lot

Big enough to fit three Earths

Inside its Great Red Spot!

Planet six is Saturn

And it's especially nice

This ball of gas is wearing rings

They're mostly made of ice!

Planet seven is Uranus

And here's the funny thing

It's tipped over on its side

Look at that skinny sideways ring!

Planet eight is Neptune

I'm afraid that it's the last

Blue Neptune's just a big 'ol ball

Of frozen methane gas!

And that's our song!

Thanks a lot for giving it a listen

Now take a bow for learning

About our awesome solar system!

Every Day is Earth Day

"Every Day is Earth Day"

It's nice you have an Earth Day

But if you're asking me

Every day is Earth Day

As far as I can see

This planet is so perfect

It's sweet from end to end!

It's not too hot and not too cold

In a very pleasant blend!

Can't even think of a better place

The answer should be clear

'Cause Planet Earth has air to breathe!

It's got an atmosphere!

Yes, every plant and flower

Each leafy, shady glen

Has green stuff growing everywhere

All making oxygen!

You think there's something better?

Well, take a look around

Of eight planets in the neighborhood

Just four have solid ground!

There's Mercury, you'll freeze or burn

And Venus, broiling hot

And Mars has barely any air

Much less than Earth has got!

Oh Planet Earth, our Planet Earth!

Sweet mix of land and sea

Nice gravity, nice temperature!

What a comfy place to be!

It's nice that we have Earth Day

But if you're asking me

Every day is Earth Day

As far as we can see!

Tiny Blue Dot

"Tiny Blue Dot"

Tiny blue dot

So lonely in the dark

From way out here, you never know

How beautiful and varied and grand it is

How many creatures call it home

Shiny blue dot

Lost in the universe

So easy just to pass it by

But, oh, you Earthies know how sweet it is

How precious right beneath your feet it is

There’s nowhere else you all could live but this

The only home you’ve known

When you’re floating over Earth

And you see it from above

It takes your breath away

This planet that we love

Only looking down like this

Can we see our task so clear

That we should be the guardians

Of all that we hold dear

Sweet blue spaceship

Gleaming in the Sun

The only home you’ve ever known

Tiny blue dot

What a gorgeous little spot

Our planet, our spaceship, our home!

Venus, Earth's Broiling Hot Twin

"Venus, Earth's Broiling Hot Twin"

Venus could be Earth's twin sister

Each the size of the other one

They've got atmospheres, their gravity's alike

And they're both pretty close to the sun!

But that atmosphere's like a greenhouse

Trapping the sun's heat in

And those clouds of carbon dioxide

Make Venus - Earth's broiling hot twin!

So Venus is hot?

Yes, indeed, broiling hot!

Is it hot like a desert-y, desolate spot?

Hot enough to melt metal, I understand

So Venus is, uh... not a great place to land?

Don't worry!

The weather outside may be rough

But this saucer is made of Bortronian stuff!

You'll see for yourself, you can watch it first-hand

Wait, metal melts here? And we're gonna land?!?

It's hot. Man, it's toasty, like inside a roaster!

Let's see what it does to an Earthie "toaster"!

Hot enough to melt metals like lead

Good thing you decided on Earth instead!

The atmosphere's like a greenhouse

That traps all the sun's heat in

And those clouds of carbon dioxide

Make Venus - Earth's broiling hot twin!

Night of a Bazillion Stars

"Night of a Bazillion Stars"

I’ve been to Venus - to Neptune and Mars

But the night sky there - well, it hardly compares

To the fabulous view from this planet of ours

On this night of a bazillion stars!

You see there’s...

Sirius, Castor, and Beta Centaurus

Arcturus, and Vega, and more!

Canopus, Rigel, and Achernar

There’s Deneb, and Polaris, and there's more by far!

Betelgeuse, Altair, and Kaus Borealis

Pollux, Mimosa, Alula Australis

Procyon, Spica, and wait, I’m so sorry

I left out our nearest neighbor, Alpha Centauri!

We’ve been to Venus - to Neptune and Mars

But the night sky there - it can hardly compare

To the fabulous view from this planet of ours

On this night of a bazillion, way more than a million

Night of a bazillion stars!

There's Algol!

Vega!

Merope!

Pleione!

Regulus!

Zosma!

Sulafat!

Sirma!

Zubenelgenubi!

Wha-??

No, really, it’s right over there!

On this night of a bazillion stars!
